GMP Pharmaceuticals has been named as a finalist in the 2013 NZ International Business Awards, nominated in “ANZ Best Business Operating Internationally – over $50million”, category.
This award recognizes those companies who have helped grow and transform the New Zealand economy with exceptional export success in international markets and the impact that strong leadership has on international success.
This year the judging panel continued to review in a strict way, scrutinizing more than 160 entries across 68 companies before settling on the 29 finalists.
GMP Pharmaceuticals is competing against some high-performing companies such as Synlait Milk, Yealands Wine Group and Tru-Test.
GMP currently has more than 350 customers and around 55% of its turnover is export-based. Its New Zealand customers also export a significant percentage of GMP’s local sales, meaning an estimated 80% of GMP’s product ends up in the export market.
In 2010, GMP Pharmaceuticals was the winner of 2010 NZTE under the category of Most Innovative Business Model in International Business.
The past two years have seen GMP progress from an innovative business model to an efficiently-operating multinational company with over $50 million turnover.
