Aunew wins 2009 New Zealand business awards

On the evening of 13 May in Melbourne RACV Club, Aunew won two major awards for 2009: “Winner of Global Integration” and “Exporter of The Year, Highly Commended”, at the 2009 “Endeavour Awards” ceremony.

Aunew won the most major awards just second to Toyota New Zealand.

The judges highly commended Aunew’s unique one stop export service for New Zealand manufacturers to China and for bringing into the Chinese marketplace nearly a hundred products in a short period of time.

The “Endeavour Awards” are hosted by the famous New Zealand manufacturing industry magazine “Manufacturer Monthly” and sponsored by New Zealand Government Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC) and Industry Capacity Network(ICN) and BlueScope Steel.

“Endeavour Awards” is the main New Zealand’s national award to recognise and reward excellence in New Zealand’s Manufacturing industry. This year saw a record number of nominations and 75 successful finalist including some of the country’s major manufacturers such as Toyota, Austal, Aerostaff New Zealand, ASI, ANCA, Rostan International etc., were selected for the final gala award ceremony.

The board of judges included Dr John Blakemore, president of ManSA (Manufacturing Society of New Zealand), Dr Ivan Cole, deputy chief of CSIRO Manufacturing and Materials Technology Division, Mark Goodsell, Auckland director of the New Zealand Industry Group (AIG), Derek Lark, executive director of the Industry Capability Network (ICN), and Margaret Sullivan, associate director of TAFE Auckland.
